Terms of service

Effective 18 July 2026

1. The service

DepoProof is a litigation-support service for legal professionals. It parses deposition transcripts and produces machine-generated digests with page-and-line citations and per-finding verification states. DepoProof does not provide legal advice or decide legal significance.

2. Your account and authority

You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and have authority and a lawful basis to upload every transcript you submit. You may not upload material whose protective order, confidentiality restriction, or applicable law prohibits the processing described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Paid credits only

DepoProof does not provide free trials, signup grants, or complimentary AI runs. Checkout currently sells one credit for US $99 with no subscription or automatic renewal. Credits are recorded in an append-only ledger and currently do not expire. A born-digital digest up to 500 pages uses one credit and a longer one uses two. Scanned transcription separately uses one credit per started 250 pages before the normal digest charge.

4. Failure and citation guarantee

Credits are reserved before model-backed processing. If generation cannot be queued, fails, is refused, or yields no citable findings, the reserved credits are restored automatically. If a finding marked Verified later fails deterministic re-checking against the authentic transcript and its verification receipt at the recorded page and lines, the credits used for that digest are restored. The implemented remedy is account credit restoration, not an automatic card refund. Mandatory statutory rights are not limited.

5. What Verified means

Verified means the displayed quote was deterministically located in the parsed transcript at the recorded citation, its receipt hashes and coordinates agree, and the finding survived the automated adversarial checks recorded by the pipeline. It is not a representation that the finding is legally significant or that the digest contains every potentially useful fact. Findings that do not clear the verification rule are marked Review or omitted.

6. Confidentiality and deletion

The Privacy Policy describes subprocessors and the AI inference transfer. Stored source text and scan bytes are scheduled for deletion after 30 days and may be deleted earlier with the in-product source control. Deletion is blocked while paid processing is active. Digests and quote-text-free verification data can remain after source deletion.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use DepoProof to violate law, another person's rights, a court order, or a contractual restriction; probe or disrupt the service; bypass usage limits; share access credentials; or submit content designed to manipulate the processing system. We may suspend activity necessary to protect customers or the service.

8. Service limitations

AI and document extraction can fail, omit material, or mischaracterize testimony. DepoProof therefore exposes verification states and refuses output when structural or citation checks do not clear. Except for the credit-restoration rule above and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the service is provided as available without additional warranties.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms prospectively and will date the published version. Material changes do not retroactively reduce the credit-restoration rule attached to a completed digest. Questions and legal notices can be sent to legal@depoproof.com; support requests can be sent to support@depoproof.com.
